Room Service

The meetings were going extremely slowly. At this rate, Heero knew that things would be rushed in the end. He hadn't even had the chance to give his presentation today, as it had been scheduled. He had been ready for it, geared up, and now that it would be delayed, Heero knew he needed to relax a little if he wanted to be in top form tomorrow and ready to answer any questions the executives might have.

Sitting in the chair after his shower and clad in pyjama pants and a t-shirt, he eyed the phone and the little card on the table. The words 'room service' caught his eye, and he decided that a little food and wine would help him unwind.

Dialling extension twelve, he waited for someone to pick up while he studied the card. The bottom of the card had been neatly torn off; otherwise, Heero figured it might explain why the word 'new' came before 'room service'. After all, room service certainly wasn't new; not in this hotel.

"Hello room service, how may I help you?"

That was odd. The last time Heero stayed here, the room service extension had an automated menu to direct the call to food, laundry, a variety of services.

"Hello?" the voice came again and Heero spoke.

"Yes, hello. I'd like some room service, please. I'm in room twelve-ten."

"Twelve-ten," the voice repeated for confirmation. "Would you prefer a male or female employee to come up?"

Heero paused again. Male or female? Since when did that matter? "Male," he said. "Although I'm not sure it really matters."

"Ah," the voice said knowingly. "Do you have any other requests regarding the employee to be sent up? Any further service requests can be addressed directly to him."

"He has to be sent up?" It seemed redundant to Heero to send someone up to take an order and then send him back down for the food.

"Unfortunately, sir, there are no telephone services at this moment."

"All right." It didn't seem very efficient to him, but Heero shrugged it off.

"I'll send someone right up."

Within five minutes, there was a knock on the door. "Room service," a voice called.

Heero opened the door and swallowed hard. The man on the other side was dressed in the standard hotel uniform. A moment later, Heero recognized him. "Duo Maxwell?" he said, recognizing the blue eyes and the hair pulled back into what Heero knew would be a braid. He'd shared an elective class with Duo and knew the man was studying hospitality and tourism. They'd worked briefly together in several classes over the year and had eaten lunch together two or three times. Duo had been dating at the time; otherwise, Heero wondered if he may have attempted to pursue the handsome man. He mentally shook his head; that was several years ago, even if suddenly seeing Duo again made his heartbeat trip.

"Heero Yuy!" Duo grinned. "You ordered some room service?" he asked with a smile.

"Yes." Heero nodded. "Rather, I was trying to."

"Trying to?"

"It seems rather inefficient that the telephone service isn't operating."

"Yes, we're currently short-staffed," Duo replied. "Sorry. Is it inconvenient for me to be here?" he asked, glancing over Heero's shoulder into his room.

"No," Heero admitted. "I guess the face to face thing is a bit more...hospitable."

"Right." Duo shifted. "So...may I come in?"

Heero blinked. "The woman on the phone said that I should tell you what I wanted."

"Here?" Duo asked. "Sorry, but I shouldn't be addressing your requests here in the hall. It may disturb other hotel residents..."

Heero wondered if they were being too loud. "Okay..." he moved back to give Duo room to enter, but didn't walk all the way into the room. Duo stepped in and closed the door behind himself.

"All right. So how can I help you?"

"I wanted something to help me relax."

"Ah." Duo nodded. "I've just the thing." Duo pulled out a small computer tablet and tapped at the screen.

"Great," Heero smiled, relieved. This order was taking much too long. "So how long will it take?"

"About half an hour."

"Half an hour?" Heero asked, dismayed.

"Is that too short?" Duo asked, looking a little alarmed. "How about an hour?"

"An hour?" Heero stared incredulously at the man. "Why should it taken an hour? Or even half an hour?"

"Ah. Fifteen minutes, then," Duo said.

"Okay." That sounded better.

"Just sign here, please," Duo said, offering the tablet and the stylus.

Heero scribbled his signature and watched as Duo put it away.

Duo looked up again, a warmer smile on his face. "Do you prefer the chair or the bed? I'd suggest the bed if you want this to done in fifteen minutes."

"Bed?" Heero asked, confused.

Duo nodded and moved around Heero to walk deeper into the room. To Heero's shock, he slipped out of his uniform jacket and undid the buttons on his cuffs, rolling them up.

"Wh-what are you doing?" Heero asked.

"Getting ready to serve you."

"You're...going to cook here?"

"Cook?" Duo asked, surprised. "No, Heero. I'm giving you a back massage here."

"Back massage!"

Duo nodded. "You needed something to help you relax."

"I meant some food and wine!"

"But you called for room service," Duo said, confused.

"Yes, I did."

Duo stared at Heero, then looked over to the phone. His gaze fell on the little card, where the bottom half was missing, and he suddenly understood.

"You dialled extension twelve," Duo said. "That's for the new room service. You should have dialled extension three for food."

"Your food department is no longer a part of room service?" Heero asked, frustrated. Had he just wasted a lot of time?

"Not the room service at extension twelve," Duo said. "That's the new department. We do...in-room service. The type that caters more...personally to the hotel residents."

Heero's jaw fell slack when then he suddenly understood. That's why the woman on the phone asked if he preferred a male or female!

"So come on and lie down," Duo said as if nothing was wrong.

"I-I'm not sure I..."

"But you signed the tablet," Duo said. "That means you're getting billed. You may as well enjoy it."

Heero wondered why he hadn't looked at what he was signing before he scribbled; then again, he hadn't expected room service to be this tricky.

"All right," he said slowly, toeing off his shoes and moving towards the bed.

"Why don't you take off your shirt? It'll make my job easier."

Heero nodded and complied, feeling a little self conscious as Duo went to the washroom.

"I'm just going to wash my hands with warm water," Duo called. Heero took a deep breath and climbed onto the bed, settling as comfortably as he could.

A few moments later, Duo was back and climbing onto the bed, and to Heero's shock, Duo straddled his prone body. Before he could protest, Duo laid his hands down and began to knead at Heero's muscles. His words died away into a breathless moan. That felt good.

"Is this okay?" Duo asked. Heero nodded, closing his eyes. Duo's hands worked down his back and Heero found himself relaxing little by little under the touch.

"How have you been?" Duo asked.

"All right," Heero murmured. "You?"

"Not bad. Been working in a couple of hotels, and completed a master's degree."

He tensed when Duo shifted above him, powerful leg muscles pressing against his side and the movement pushing his hip against the mattress. It wasn't until then that Heero noticed he was getting hard. Duo noticed something was off by his body language and paused.

"Heero? Is everything okay? Did I hurt you?"

"No," Heero quickly said. "I'm fine."

The hands began working again. "You are."

That must have been his imagination. Duo couldn't have said that...

...Right?

Duo shifted again and Heero bit back another moan as talented hands began to knead at his neck. While his body was relaxing, a certain part of him was stiffening and it was going to be really embarrassing if Duo found out.

Maybe he could pretend to fall asleep. Duo could let himself out; the doors automatically locked when closed.

"Let me know if there's somewhere in particular you want me to massage."

Heero doubted his answer would be decent so he didn't say anything. Thumbs worked down either side of his spine and Heero sighed at the touch. It was the first time he'd ever had a massage and he hadn't realized that it would feel this good.

Fingers wrapped around his sides and thumbs kneaded his lower back, just above the waistline of his pants. The motion made Heero squirm; he was a little ticklish there. But squirming made him rub his arousal against the mattress and a moan slipped out.

"Okay?" Duo asked.

"Yeah," Heero murmured into the pillow, trying to hide his heated cheeks.

"Pardon?" Duo's hands stayed at his waist but he bent down towards Heero's head.

"It feels good," Heero said. "Just...never...did this before." His hips rocked against the mattress as Duo continued to massage his lower back. He swallowed hard.

"Why don't you turn over?" Duo asked.

"Just the back is fine," Heero quickly said.

Duo's lips were suddenly at his ear. "You sure?" he whispered softly. The words were accompanied by another shift of Duo's hips and Heero stiffened, feeling something press against his backside as Duo angled his hips. Slowly, he turned his head to meet Duo's eyes.

"Sorry," Duo said, although he didn't sound apologetic. "This is actually my first day on the job. I'm...you can say I'm still working on my self-control."

Heero nodded against the pillow, shifting under Duo's gaze. The movement made Duo moan, hands gripping Heero in a gesture unlike that of a massage. Duo rocked against Heero, rubbing himself and pressing Heero down. Heero bit his lip, and Duo saw it.

"This isn't right..." Heero gasped.

"The new room service can include a lot of things," Duo breathed, his hips taking on a steady rhythm. "From just chatting to all types of massages, manicures, pedicures, hair styling, hair washing..."

"It can't include this," Heero said.

"It doesn't," Duo admitted.

"Then what are you..."

"My fifteen minutes are up as of...now." But Duo didn't get up. "You were my last call for tonight. My shift ended ten minutes after you had called and technically, I don't get paid overtime..." Duo nuzzled Heero's neck. "At least, the company doesn't pay my overtime. I offered the relaxing massage service to you and I'm off work fifteen minutes late."

Heero moaned as teeth grazed his shoulder and he gripped his pillow. "It's only fair that I get some kind of pay for overtime...right?" Duo said softly.

"What...did you have in mind?" Heero asked although he figured that he had a fairly good idea; the steady grinding was picking up in pace.

"My job isn't completely done if I don't get you thoroughly relaxed," he mused. "So I guess if I can do something that will allow the both of us to relax...it'll be a bonus for you and the perfect overtime pay for me." He leaned down, pressing his chest to Heero's back. "I mean, not a lot of people can say that were thoroughly relaxed after work, right?"

Heero moaned quietly as a hand traced up his side, over his shoulder and a little further to grasp his upper arm where it lay by his head. Hips pulled away from his and Heero heard the sound of a belt buckle, followed by the sound of a zipper being lowered. He twitched in surprise when he felt Duo's hardness through his pyjama pants, against his ass. Feeling the movement against his backside that pointed to a freed erection, he realized that Duo had pushed his pants off, baring himself.

The thought that Duo's cock as separated from his ass by only his pyjama pants made him moan. Duo chuckled above him and set a rhythm once more.

The pants and quiet moans filled the room as Duo rocked their bodies, grinding himself against Heero and pressing Heero into the mattress. His hands flexed on Heero's waist and arm; Heero fisted the pillow, squeezing his eyes shut.

"Heero...Gods, I didn't expect to be serving someone that..." Duo trailed off, kissing Heero's shoulder and neck, grinding harder against him. Heero moaned.

"That's it..." Duo encouraged him. "Let go, Heero..."

Heero bit his lip and moaned as he came, his hands flexing on the pillow as he buried his face into it. Duo's hips were still moving, and then with one last grind, Duo's legs clenched tighter on either side of Heero. The splatter of come on his sweaty, bare back startled Heero; Duo moaned as he came, watching as the fitful spurts of his seed landed on Heero's skin.

For a moment they panted, Heero with his head turned and Duo with his forehead against the back of Heero's shoulder.

"Someone that what?" Heero asked.

"Hm?" Duo hummed in question.

"You said you 'didn't expect to be serving someone that'..."

Duo nuzzled him. "Someone that...I had a crush on years ago."

Heero stiffened. "What?" he whispered softly. "But you...you were dating."

"Until I realized Brandon was cheating on me. And then I realized that I was crushing on you, and that didn't make me any better than Brandon. Except he used me to experiment his own sexuality."

"I'm...sorry to hear that." Heero didn't know what else to say. Duo rolled off of him and looked over at Heero, hand stilling Heero from rolling onto his back, reminding him of the mess there with a simple glance.

"I actually...called your number once. To see if you wanted to hang out, a year or so after our course ended."

"But?"

"But your number had changed."

Heero thought back to it and nodded. "I lost my phone and had to get a new one," he remembered. "I didn't know anyone else in the class so I couldn't get your number back. I wish...I'd tried harder to find it. To...find you."

Duo suddenly frowned. "Are you...with someone?" His tone was cautious.

"No," Heero said. "Not unless you count my computer and my job as people." Heero swallowed and held Duo's gaze, reaching a hand to touch Duo's shoulder. "Not...unless you count. As of now, I mean."

Duo smiled a little. "Are you asking me out?"

"Would you say yes?"

"Yes." Duo shifted a little closer. "Although if you told my boss I'd get fired."

"You're off work, remember?"

Duo's smile widened, then faltered. "We hardly know each other anymore," he said softly. "How can we just jump right into that? How...could we have just jumped right into this?"

Heero's heart dropped and he sat up gingerly; his pants weren't comfortable at all. Duo followed him, reading his expression easily and grabbing Heero's hand.

"I'm not regretting it!" he said quickly. "I just...I'm not like this, usually."

"I'm not either," Heero murmured.

"Where do you live, Heero? In another state? Across the country? How could we do this if..."

"I live forty-five minutes away. I'm here for a few days of conference and board meetings."

Duo's head tilted in question. "You live forty-five minutes away and yet you're here..."

"I work in the security and surveillance sector. This hotel chain is one of many that outsources the network security hardware and whatnot from the company I work at. It's a part of my job to stay here and...sneak around a bit."

Duo nodded in understanding. "I don't live too far from here, either."

"Why don't we take it slow?" Heero suggested after a moment. "A few dates first. No more...massages."

"Fair enough," Duo said.

Their fingers twined together, then Heero grimaced. "I need a shower."

Duo laughed. "Yeah, I think you do."

"Stay here a bit?" Heero asked. "Can we talk a while?"

Duo nodded and stretched out on the bed again, reaching over for some tissues to wipe himself clean before fixing his pants. Heero stood from the bed and looked down at the handsome man he often thought of but never thought he'd see again.

"Hey Duo?"

"Hm?" Duo looked up. Heero bent, setting a hand on either side of Duo so he could lean close.

"Back then...I had a crush on you too. I think I still do, although I also think I don't, because I think it's more than a crush now that I know you're not taken by someone else." With that, Heero leaned closer and kissed Duo briefly before straightening.

Duo sat up and caught Heero's hand, pulling him close again. "No massages, but you're going to do better than that, right?" He pulled Heero down for a longer kiss. Heero hummed and pulled back after a moment.

"Do I pass that test?"

"The primary one," Duo teased. "I'll conduct some secondary research after your shower. Go."

Heero chuckled and went to the bathroom, shutting the door behind himself. He set his hands on the counter and looked himself in the mirror, suddenly thankful that the meetings had dragged on, that he had needed to relax, that he'd called the wrong room service extension.

"Heero Yuy, you're one lucky bastard," he murmured before turning to switch on the water.

Once he heard the water come on, Duo got up and went to his jacket. He pulled a card out and replaced the torn one by the phone, tucking the latter back into his jacket pocket. Spotting the other torn half on the floor and guessing it had fallen out when he had pulled the replacement card out, Duo quickly stuffed it into his pocket again. The shower was still going, so he pulled out his cell phone and dialled.

"Hey Quatre?" He grinned. "Thanks for dragging out the meeting. He called room service, and I made sure the only number he had for reference was for my new department." He leaned against the wall, still grinning.

"How'd I know he would need to relax? We took a personal psychology course together, Q-man. We learned lots about each other in there, and learned that no matter how someone changes, deep down, they might not change much at all."

He looked at the bathroom door. "Yeah, it doesn't mean anything concrete, but I did what you taught me, man. Take a few chances. The last resort would have been me knocking on his door asking if he ordered room service. I'd have found a way to speak to him face to face either way, ever since I saw him walk into the lobby. No, he doesn't realize I'm the manager of this new department. I'll let him know." He laughed. "Okay, I won't keep him up too late. He'll be prepared to do his speech tomorrow."

The shower shut off, so Duo straightened. "Gotta go man. One last thing, thanks for lending me your master key to get into his room earlier so I could remove extensions list. Talk to you soon!"

Slipping his cell phone back into his jacket, Duo lay down on the bed again, burying his face into Heero's pillow and memorizing the scent that lingered there. He sighed softly, happy, excited, content and high all at once.

He'd taken the chance to see Heero Yuy again, planned a chance for some interaction, and it had worked in his favour, even though he'd had to rearrange some things in advance. The door opened and he lifted his head, smiling lazily in greeting, noting yet again what a handsome man Heero was.

Duo Maxwell, you're one lucky bastard.
