Operation: Lost Boys Epilogue
Christmas Eve - AC 196
"Oh you're the cutest little girl in the whole Earth Sphere! Yes you are!" Duo grinned at the wiggling baby he had volunteered to change. "And you're such a good little girl! Boobooboobooboo! Never fear, little Mei, your uncle Duo is here to spoil you rotten so you can annoy your daddy just as much as I did! Oh yesh yesh yesh!"
The baby let out a laugh, but stuck a hand up to land on Duo's mouth. "Shhhhhrrrrlll!"
Heero, now Kamui, chuckled. "See? Even our niece wants you to shut up."
Wufei entered the room and scowled at Duo. "Harmony asked you to change Meiran so that you could get the hang of taking care of a baby! She did NOT mean you should subject our daughter to the drafts by leaving her uncovered on the changing table."
"BAH BAH!!!!" Meiran wriggled out of Duo's hands and did a sort of shuffle-crawl in Wufei's direction.
"Oh no, little lady!" Duo kept the baby from tumbling headfirst towards the floor.
Wufei walked over and, in one minute, had Meiran cleaned, powdered, and in a fresh diaper. Then he bundled her in her blanket and picked her up just as the group of children going home entered the ballroom.
Harmony smiled as the children ran to their parents. Any children that didn't find a home were welcome to stay in her mansion until they had people that wanted them. She already had several orphans living at the mansion that various people had sent.
Duo helped care for the orphans and kept their spirits up with his attitude and his own life story. The kids saw him as one of them. Kamui often brought stray animals in for the kids to play with.
Quatre and Trowa combined their efforts to help rebuild buildings that were destroyed during the war. One of the first projects was the restoration of the Maxwell Church... a sort of wedding present to Duo. It was an early gift since all four couples had gotten married in the church by a priest who had gone to the same seminary school as Father Maxwell had.
Treize had been made the godfather of little Meiran. Wufei had said it was because Treize showed him that being strong was not the do all and be all of life.
A music box started up somewhere as Harmony took Meiran from Wufei and sat down. Her last official performance was going to be a transition from singer to mother. She would still find homes for orphans, but she would no longer be known as Medley. If she ever made a comeback, it would be under the name of Harmony Chang. She sat down and sang softly to Meiran, even though the microphone carried her voice.

You mean more than anything
When I see your smile so lovely and bright
Makes the world seem right.
"At times you can act like such a little girl
But, in my eyes, you are the world
I wish you health and happiness for all time
And may the world be kind.
"Whenever you are feeling down

All of the people listening had tears in their eyes as they watched the young mother excuse herself to put the infant to bed.
Relena and Hilde shared a secret smile. They each had a surprise for Duo and Kamui. They were both pregnant. Hilde with Kamui and Duo's child, Relena with her and Hilde's child. The DNA technology allowed for that. Hilde was simply carrying the baby that neither of the boys were capable of carrying. As far as the boys knew, they had no idea whether the procedure had been successful or not.
Kamui, for his part, found himself in the center of a sea of cousins. All of Quatre's sisters had been invited, and they all accepted when they were told of Kamui's relationship to them. Luckily for him, Duo was there to act as a buffer since all of the women simply adored him and Duo drank in the attention.
All in all, the pilots each had a good life to look forward to. They had stuck together through the worst of times, and knew that they'd be together until the end of time.
OWARI
Song is "Please Go On" from "Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure" A corny game, but I REALLY liked that song. It fit Harmony singing to Meiran perfectly.
I forgot that Heero stated that he'd start going by his name when the war was over. The war is over so Heero Yuy is now Kamui Hiyama.
