Timeline: post EW and okay, I'm lazy and I'm setting all 25 (if possible) drabbles into the same timeline/universe/setting. So if you haven't read the previous fics, the line goes like this: Quatre's CEO of WEI, Heero, Duo, Trowa, and Wufei are all Preventers, and they're all around 30ish. the drabbles will not be...interconnected, but you know... ^O^;;;

"Agent Maxwell?"
Duo turned to see a portly, middle-aged woman striding down the hall towards him. She wasn't in uniform and so he assumed she was support staff. But years of dealing with Lady Une had taught him to stay on his toes about this kind of thing.
"Agent Maxwell, I'm Lulu Stephens with the Preventers Social Club. I emailed you last week about the Christmas Party?"
Duo indicated that he'd received the email.
"Well, I haven't heard back from you yet..."
She gave him a rather Significant Look.
Duo fidgeted.
"You and Agent Yuy the only ones in your sector who haven't signed up yet. We'll have door prizes and dancing. It should be really fun."
Duo thought that maybe Lulu was ex-military. Her "enthusiastic" delivery left something to be desired.
"Come on, Agent Maxwell. We don't want your floor to be the only one with empty seats at their table."
Duo tried to smile politely.
"I've got four tickets reserved for you and Agent Yuy. Do try to talk him into it."
Duo thought that his confusion must be showing clearly on his face.
"I heard that both you handsome young men had significant others and while not required, per se, it is highly suggested that each employee bring a date to the Party."
Duo gaped a bit.
"Was I wrong? Did you or Agent Yuy have a terrific break up with your girls?"
Duo thought that she ought not to look so gleeful at that prospect.
"Well then you have no excuse. I want you, Agent Yuy, and both your girlfriends sitting at that table tomorrow night."
Their conversation was interrupted by the clatter and commotion of said Agent Yuy exiting his office in quite a bit of a hurry.
"Hey, sorry to keep you waiting. Where do you want to go for lunch?"
Any response Duo might have given froze in his throat as Heero then "tsk"-ed and removed his own scarf to wrap it snugly around Duo's neck.
"Look at you, never dressing warmly enough for this weather. If you catch another cold, I'm not making soup for you anymore."
Duo thought his eyes were going to bug out of his head. Lulu was standing Right There.
"Ah, okay. I can see the forest for the trees. Agent Maxwell and Agent Yuy, one ticket each."
Lulu made some notations on her clipboard, handed the men two tickets to the Preventers Christmas Party, and then marched off down the hall muttering something about Agent Putnam's two ex-wives.
