The Princes' Choice Part 5
"TROOOWWWAAAA!!!!" Duo screamed at the top of his lungs. Quatre only felt a little bit of anguish from Duo, which was odd. And then he felt Heero. Heero did not like what was happening and was ready to do something about.
"INJUSTICE!" Wufei hollered.
Rashid and Abdul lunged forward. Rashid easily knocked Alex out. Heero then turned to Muller. "You have two seconds to let him go."
"Or what?"
"Or I shall have my bodyguards dispose of you." Quatre said going over to check on the fallen man.
Muller looked back at Rashid and Abdul. "Who are you?"
"I am Quatre Raberba Winner, Prince of the Desert Kingdoms. Now, let him go and take your friend and leave."
Muller stared down at the blond. He had heard about the desert kingdoms, but he never thought he would ever meet one of its people. "You heard him, let him go." Heero ordered.
"And who are you? His nanny?"
Heero glared. "I happen to be Prince Heero Yuy of the Kosh Kingdom. Now let him go."
Muller was dumbfounded, he let go of Duo and picked up Alex and left the inn. Somehow dealing with two princes did not sound good. Duo knelt down next to his friend tears threatening to flow down his cheeks. "Trowa? Trowa please wake up. Trowa please I don't know what to do. Please Trowa, I'm scared." Duo looked up when he felt a gentle hand on his shoulder.
Quatre smiled sweetly at the other boy. He could feel his pain, it was starting to overwhelm him. "It will be alright. We'll take him to our rooms and take care of him."
Duo's eyes got big. 'Their taking him away from me. No oh no! Please no I don't know what to do."
"You can come with him if you like." It was like Quatre had read his mind. Which he had, well his emotions at least.
Rashid knelt down and picked Trowa up. Duo watched, humans were supposed to be bad, very bad. Humans were known to kill his people. In fact he happened to know that it was humans that had killed everyone in the elf clan. Duo was panic stricken, his eyes darted around the room. He watched as Trowa was being taken away. The blond guy said he could go to, but at what cost? Trowa had once told him that he was a being that many humans would want to own. Is that what these people wanted? To own him?
Heero knelt down next to the fey one. He gently placed his hand on the others shoulder. "Everything will be alright. We just want to help you. We won't hurt you."
Dou looked at him, eyes wide and full of fear. Duo nodded. He followed the others to their rooms. Duo watched as Rashid placed Trowa on a bed. Duo went over to the side of the bed and watched his friend. Quatre went to the other side. He had a wet cloth and start wiping up a small amount of blood on Trowa's neck.
"I don't think its anything too bad." Quatre told Duo. "All he needs is some rest."
"Master Quatre," Rashid stepped up to the end of the bed, "I have sent Abdul to get a doctor, just to make sure."
"Thank you Rashid." Quatre turned to Duo. "I am Quatre. What is your name?" Duo blinked. "That's Heero." Quatre pointed to Duo's right. Then he pointed to the end of the bed. "And that's Wufei and Meiran. Do you have a name?"
Duo looked at everyone. Should I tell them or not? What would Trowa do? "Duo." he mumbled.
"Pardon? I didn't hear you."
"I said 'Duo'. That's my name."
"Well, it's nice to meet you, Duo."
Abdul entered the room and bowed, "Master, I am sorry but there is no doctor in this town."
"I see, thank you anyways Abdul."
"I wonder why there isn't a doctor, or some other healer in this town?" Meiran asked. She then went up to Duo. "Are you alright? You look a little shaken. Are you hungry?"
Duo turned to her. She had a nice voice. "My friend?"
"Needs to sleep. You can stay with us."
"I.... I don't know."
"Where else would you go?" Wufei asked, taking a seat.
"The forest."
"Is that where you live?" Heero asked. Duo nodded. "Do you live alone?" Duo shook his head no. "You live with him?" Heero pointed to Trowa. Duo nodded.
Duo looked at Trowa. He could help him if there wasn't so many people around. A little magic, a healing spell. No problem. He'd done it before, he could do it again. But he couldn't do anything with humans watching.
"Maybe you should sit down." Heero suggested. He took Duo over to the couch. Duo continued to look at Trowa. Meiran came over with a glass of water and gave it to Duo. Duo looked at it funny. He had never seen a real glass before. He used leaves. Heero took the glass and held it to his lips. "Here drink." Duo opened his mouth and sipped on the water.
Wufei stood, "May I have a word with everyone?"
Everyone stepped out of the room except for Duo. When the door closed Duo got up and went over to the bed. "Trowa, you need to wake up. I don't know what to do."
Duo closed his eye and chanted. His body began to glow as he chanted. He opened his eyes and chanted a few more words placing his hand on Trowa's heart. He had cast his spell. There was nothing left for him to do but wait.
