Halloween Drabble 35
"What do you think?" Wufei frowned at the stacks of candy.
"What kind do you like the best?"
"I brought you along for help, Maxwell. Not to ask me what sorts I like best."
"Right. You brought me along cause no one else was in the office this afternoon. And I am helping," Duo grinned. "You're going to be stuck with tons of it after the party is over, you know. Might as well like what you're going to have to eat."
"No I'm not." Wufei rolled his eyes. "Trust me. No matter what the media says, teenage girls can decimate a kitchen just as quickly as the boys can."
"Speaking of teenage girls, didn't your daughter give you a list?"
"Yes, but it just says 'candy'." Wufei waved the scrap of paper at him. "And, yes, I did think to bring her with me, but she has tests all this week."
"So she's glued to her books."
"Yes- and since I want her to be glued to her books, I had to do the shopping."
Duo reached out and snagged several bags of candy, tossing them into the cart. "Can't go wrong with chocolate. What's the next thing on the list?"
Squinting at the paper, Wufei snorted. "I think this says 'snacks'."
"How specific of her," Duo grabbed the handles of the cart. "Let's go scope out the snack aisle. I'm warning you now though- if the next thing on that list uses the words 'hygiene' and 'feminine', you are so on your own."
"Duly noted."
